

On Our OwnI woke up to a not-so-pleasant sound: my alarm. Signaling the dawn, my phone blared music at me. Groaning, I shoved a hand out from the haven of blankets and flipped open my phone. Fumbling with the buttons, I endured nearly a minute of blinding light and a looping clip of “Light My Candle” from the musical RENT. Haha, Light. Ironic. Really. Still groaning and now being entertained by the lovely fire works playing on the ceiling of my apartment, I rolled over and preceded to go back to sleep till I was shaken gently by a hand I knew well.
